Another year gone
Well, here we all are about to pass through the end of 2007 into the new year of 2008. I am sure we are all pretty much thinking the same thing, "Where has this year gone!?". I don't know about the rest of you but it's been another crazy as crap and eventful year! The questions lie at our feet until at last one by one they are picked up, faced, and answered. What did I accomplish this year? Did I do what I set out to do at the beginning of the year? What can be improved upon? And then we settle on one of them usually to base our new year resolution off of. haha. Well at least this is somewhat what goes through my mind. :P
We've all taken on new tasks and grown in different ways. It's an unknown and endless journey. I am happy that I am still friends with those of you from previous years, and I want to also add that I'm happy and also lucky, to have met some of you just this past year. People come into our lives for a reason, for a time...a season, and then they go.
UPDATE:
I'm still doing the Data Entry from home even though the people I work for are completely uneducated communication wise and are not dependable. :) I only make $8.00 an hour, but I suppose to be able to do it and be home with my angel, and only have to work for them for a short time until I am done with school, then I can just buck up and deal with it. ;) I am still doing my Medical Transcription Program, so in May I should be finished with the course and have a better job and still be able to work from home.
I cherish every waking moment with Addy and so much that I have basically given up everything I ever was and ever wanted to be, to be the perfect little mommy for her. Yes, that includes my running. Parenthood involves so much sacrifice, but with it comes so much love! No offense to those of you that read this that I've told that I love you, but I have never felt this much love in my life before my daughter! ;) lol. My weight and the way my body feels is ridiculous. I know I'll never be the same, so yeah, sad times with frustration and tears definitely come, but when I see what I've done for Addison and who she is becoming because of me, nothing makes me want anything more for her than to grow up healthy, happy, and successful. If now is the time to help mold that for her, then so be it.. that's what I am going to be doing! :) 2008 may it bring a miracle!! -LOL
Addy has 6 teeth and actually likes to brush them while singing momma's "brush your teeth song". haha. Anytime, she likes to sing and dance-she's got natural rhythm like her mom! haha, loves to turn the dials on the entertainment stereo system, watch Harry Potter movies, click the mouse on the computer, and hit the keyboard. She absolutely loves rolling, bouncing, and wrestling on the bed! She is building confidence and is slowly taking one to two steps now. She says Hi, Bye, No, What's this... and many more things. I swear she picks up a new word or new habit everyday! :P
OUR THANKSGIVING:
We had a little thanksgiving here at home first. I spent most of the day in the kitchen cooking a turkey (turned out delicious I might add) :) ... a pumpkin pie, blackberry pie, apple pie, and sweet potatoe casserole and stuffing. Dinner was fantastic. Then the next day-(Thanksgiving day) we went to Grandma/Grandpa Truscott's house for the real thing. Afterward Addy played with her cousins, and I went and played football. I scored 2 touchdowns! lol. And well, about busted my hip after a leap of about 3 feet into the air taking out the opposite team player. I couldn't believe my aggressiveness! Did I ever mention I can't stand how sexist my brother in law can be!? UGH.... regardless I got one of the hardest work outs that day than I have experienced in a long time! :D I hope you all enjoyed YOUR family time haha, and had a great Thanksgiving!
Coming in May, we'll be moving to Idaho where I am from to live closer to my family. May all of you find that your own states where you live bring you warmth and happiness in the Spring and Summer months, and refreshment with peace in the cooler months. When the times comes, have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
With our love,
Tara and Addy- p.s. those of you who would like a christmas picture, email us your address! xoxo.

THE WITCH!
Basics:
I had to be a witch this year after years of not being one for Halloween, because I took back my French Maid costume... too unmodest for this girl, haha. It was all last minute after doing taking it back, so... Here's how it went down for us on Halloween night.
Early trick or treating at a neighborhood party for Addy. She was dressed in her warm Lion Costume and ready for bed. We had a couple friends with us, so Jacy took her son Kayden to houses around a couple blocks and headed to another friends house afterward. Then the witch was off with Cruella Deville for the rest of the night!!!
The Witch & Cruella Deville:
There she was in her blackened dress, orange n' black striped stockings, and a pointed hat. What do you think of that!? While she was searching for a dance n' party to get something going, all the driving from place to place was getting a bit annoying. Her dearie of a friend, Cruella Deville felt the same about the way the night was going... she'd had enough, so with nothing to match their eye's desire, they found other entertainment to satisfy... the brew got them stuffed.
Mimi's Cafe is a great choice for Whipped Hot Chocolate and Carrot Raisin bread.. the yummies will go straight to your head! Strangers weren't too sure to try her candied brew, but she was sure to try to share.... Cruella, well she spent all night trying to round up those darn pups, complaining about her need for a new spotted coat!
But all the through the rest of the night, through several towns, the witch kept cackling to all on the streets.....throwing candy all in reach. "Trick or treat!", she'd yell from her car window to all the passerbys, with a frog in her throat. Yes, some were shocked and yelled back, some found humor, and others she made smile too.
Regardless, it was a blast of a Halloween for her this year, and she hopes it was a blast of a Halloween for all of YOU!
I would love to hear about all of your guys' Halloweens. Have a good one! Hope you enjoyed the posts.. haha... Hugs!

Short update!
Short Update:
Addison just about has 6 teeth! At her last doctor's appt about 2 weeks ago, she had put on 5 lbs and grew 3 more inches! She is starting to take one to two steps by herself. I have found those new Gerber Fruit Sticks wildberry flavor are now her favorite things to eat when her mouth isn't hurting her. She likes to chew on her toothbrush and is pretty tolerable of me brushing her pearlies. :)
She fully pronounces Jesus now when she sees his picture on the wall and knows where the picture of her Grandma Shelly is. :) How innocent and precious little ones are. She really opens my eyes sometimes... it's a check point when I let a swear word slip, and she looks at momma trying to repeat it. Eek! Along with all the wonderful things, of course come the interesting things that keep us on our toes. ;) She has started throwing tantrums, and if I didn't know better, I'd think she was already starting the terrible twos. May Heavenly Father grant me extra strength when that hits!! haha.
The two methods of throwing fits:
She will either throw herself face down, kicks, and screams or lays on her back and kicks with both legs at the same time toward the floor. YEAAH.. you're telling me! When she is just having an attitude (mind you.. usually lasts all day)... she will ever so firmly push your face or hand away to inform you just exactly who is boss. That includes.. no more kisses for just mommy... you get them only if she is feeling gracious. ;) It is so much, really, to see their very own little personalities developing.
I started my Medical Transcription program 2 weeks ago finally, and so far I am doing well. I am getting all A's. My first six tests I got between a 95% and 100%! It's progressively harder of course as I enter the Human Anatomy part of it, but it will be great once I have accomplished it. I hope all of you are progressing forward with something. It gives us something to look forward to and for me, it makes me feel excited and hopeful for something better.

Every now and then-
Every now and then a quiet moment comes our way and for a few minutes everything makes sense:
There are some things I have grown to need; things I just can't live without. The rush of emotions that come at different times, tell me life is worth living. When I get that when I'm running, I feel a sense of freedom. I know that as long as my feet are moving I am getting further than where I started.
On the flip side, I relate running to what in life I might be running from. Maybe it's fear of loving or fear of being loved, maybe it's pain or past regrets, or maybe it's success, because we fear the what-if that leads us to fail.
We are more than our yesterdays. This is our now: our now to laugh so hard our tummies ache, our now to love foolishly because it feels good, our now to change what we can and accept happily what we can't. It's our now to forgive and be forgiven and our now to wish for what we want but can't have. It's our now to dance and sing as if no one can see or hear us, to smile at ourselves and tell ourselves we mean something to someone, and last it's our now to LIVE in such a way that makes us happy!
So maybe love IS a good thing even if it makes me hurt and maybe that means we have to wait til' love finds us. Yes, it's hard to wait around for something you know may never happen, but it's even harder to give up; especially when it's everything you ever wanted. Never give up on someone you can't go a day without thinking about. If there's anything I've learned about loving those I've needed, it's that hating is easy to do, but love takes courage.
I'm the type of girl who will bust out laughing in dead silence about something that made me smile yesterday. :) I look at the reflection of myself in the mirror some days and say-those that I care about most may never get to see the real me or may never appreciate the real me, but that's their own fault, because they make that choice, not me. I am me, and there's no one else like me. Because I was once told by a dear friend that I come across as unapproachable. ;) Still, somehow, that friend came to mean something to me. I can't live without friends. If I sent this specific post to you, I consider you a friend I need.
I can be described as dreamy or maybe unrealistic, but I believe, it's not just a daydream if you decide to make it your life. It takes determination. You can bet I've got that! Determination is knowing what you want and not stopping until you get it. Okay, girls are emotional ;) but I know you guys out there, even with your cold hands and when you get cold feet, you have warm hearts. xoxo. Sure. We let loose and cry when we feel the need, but tears aren't always a sign of weakness. Yeah, I cry when I am frustrated or scared, when I miss someone, or when I feel insignificant. But I've also cried when I appreciated, when I found a real reason to smile, or when I touched someone else's life.
OFF THE WALL:
I love a new pair of shoes or a new pair of pants that make my butt look nice. :) Wearing new shoes means I get a fresh start at something and the pants.... they just go good with my new shoes. haha.
*How sweet it is to finally give or receive the taste of a kiss you've thought about at least a hundred times.
So I guess what I'm saying is don't live each day wondering-FIND OUT
Don't dream it-DO IT
Don't dwell on your regrets-MAKE YOUR FUTURE WORTH IT
Don't live life trying to get others to care like you want them to-LIVE LIFE FOR YOU
Leave behind the pain and experience joy. Let your voice be heard; let your heart and eyes be opened to new possibilities and hold onto what's important to you. Hope for something better, but don't under estimate what/who has found you; it's not always around forever.

Best Friend
Tonight I went with one of my best girlfriends, and we decided getting out would be very beneficial to us both. We went on a walk on the Provo Trail. We even found a favorite spot with a swing! :) It swings between several trees, and it's just beautiful. It's a trail in Provo by an apartment where I used to live. I would run on this trail each morning while it was cool, and when I could listen to and easily hear the river beside me. We looked a little silly taking pictures along the way, but it was a time to remember! We laughed and talked about the things girls talk about. :) :)
The water sounded refreshing, relaxing, and rejuvinating. It sounded so free and the air was clear and crisp. We got real cold at the end of the walk, but we made it back before dark. At one point of the trail, there was a sign that read, "Rough Trails Ahead". It got me thinking about life. Wouldn't it be nice if when we came upon a new chapter in our lives, we got warning signs like that? Oh.. uh.. Tara, "Rough Trails Ahead".. you might want to reconsider doing that! haha.. So we made our jokes about what that could apply to right now. May there always be laughter in our hearts and ears, and always be a great friend beside us to help us as we pass through those stages in our lives. :) Thanks to all of you for the times you were exactly that for me!!
A humorous part of the walk:
There was a deep puddle of water right in the middle of the path! Suzie had sandals on, me.. I had crocs. Neither are great for such conditions. So.. we contemplated for a short moment about how we could get past the water. Suz decided she would just walk through it and roll up her jeans...... There is something about me that always makes me take the more creative/challenging route... thinking that it might end up smoother than the usual way people do things. :) SO.. I decided to stand on the giant stone in the middle of the water.... try to "monkey bar it" across holding onto gate metal overhead.. and then LEAP the length of the remaining water.. haha... well, I did in fact make it, but I got more wet than Suzie and just about ripped my freezing fingers right off my hand! lol. I will just say after we turned around to go back, we found a completely different way of getting past the water trap. :):) Have a great night all!

Old Vegas Blog...
WHAT A TRIP!!! haha. Las Vegas is such a hyped up, out of control place that I couldn't just NOT blog the adventure. Okay mind the fact that Addison is my first and only baby for those of you who don't know & considering she is only 9 months old this was the first time I had done the airport thing with a baby. What a dramatic & exhausting experience! :)
Upon deciding to take the invitation to fly out there, I told myself "okay, it's going to be a little different doing it yourself and not just seeing it be done". (Aralee flew here to Salt Lake with her baby in May this year.)
THE PREPARATION:
There momma was packing and doing laundry. Heaven knows I can't forget her favorite blankie, or her favorite block, her favorite squealer, or her favorite everything! So with that, I am trying to figure out how to pack toys, glass baby food jars, the amount of diapers that she will need for 4 days, her cutiest outfits that aren't already stained beyond belief, and trying to fit everything that I will need to keep the angel happy on the hour and a half flight. As the new laundry comes out of the dryer and I am putting it in the suitcase, here along comes little companion who wants to help. She spots her favorite blanket, which you must know, gets her so excited that she kicks her legs, squeals, and waves her arms for it. :) Did that stay in the diaper bag? NOPE. Her eyes happen to notice her veggie puffs in the diaper bag as well.. did those remain in their designated area? haha. You're right; no. So logically one would just wait until she went to bed. I did that, but what about the last minute things? Yeah, everything you packed once is now no longer packed when you're trying to pack the last minute things. lol.
THE AIRPORT:
So after cramming all that was needed for the duration of the trip into the ONE suitcase and ONE diaper bag I arrived at the airport to check in. Believe it or not momma packed far more for baby than for herself! haha. There I was pushing the stroller with one hand and pulling the suitcase with my thumb of the opposite hand, which about ripped off! Going through the poles that rope things off.. haha.. yeah there went my suitcase towering over and next went the poles toppling over. And heaven knows all the people seeing it happen are thinking, "Let's not help her or anything, she just has a baby... it's normal to see this happen!" lol. After getting checked in, I head for the gate and it's a funny thing that even with a baby stroller and the most complicated situation, your gate is still one of the furthest ones away! I am supporting the weight of a baby in a stroller going up an escalator.. HELLO ELEVATOR right?! oh geez.. a little late now!
Going through security, I had to remove the norm, but then also had to take the car seat off the stroller, empty the stroller, fold up the stroller, and take stuff off baby all to be x-rayed.. AND do it all while holding Addison! So I jokingly asked the security guy, "Do you want me to just put her on the X-ray belt as well?" No, was the response I got of course. Luckily just before going down an escalator a flight attendant who was on my same flight decided she would help me with the weight of the stroller. :) Before boarding, I get yelled at for not already having my stroller tagged. Hello! Had I known I was supposed to, don't you think I would have had it done!? However, after the drama of getting to the gate, the flight went surprisingly well. Addison ate her snacks and only cried once upon lowering in elevation because it hurt her ears. But I must say... especially going to Vegas... that was the first and last time I will do the baby+airport scenario by myself! haha. :) GOOD TIMES!

10 month beauty
Hey kiddos! A little new info about Addy:
She started getting her two top pearlies two days ago-(10-2-07)! She can almost stand on her own, has mastered crawling up the whole flight of stairs, and is now trying to say hot and more please. The word more sounds like MOE!! haha :) She now says momma and dadda clearly. Of course, she only calls out for momma when she wants something. ;)
However, she learned to give kisses when we went to Vegas and will only give momma kisses, so it makes me feel special. :):)
I can't believe Halloween will be here soon! This year has flown by! I can't believe Addison is already almost a year old! Man, I think I've aged! :) Something about becoming a parent makes you turn old fast! LOL.
Well, we are planning to possibly go to Lagoon with some friends to the Frightmares this year. We've never been to it, so hopefully it's fun! I will post new pictures here in a while. Take care all ya'll! Hugs!
